Jessica and I have been brainstorming what strategies and tools work well in language learning classrooms, and one technology that both of us have used in the past was … you guessed it–Duolingo. As a MALL app, or mobile-assisted language learning application, Duolingo is certainly one of the most popular. And with its dozens of features including score keeping, streak recording, and games, we wondered if Duolingo couldn’t be used in a formal classroom context to get kiddos more engaged!
